Moonacres Fundraiser for Turkey and Syria Earthquake Saturday 18 March (SOLD OUT)

The scale of devastation in northwest Syria and southeast Türkiye is beyond imagination. More than 46,000 people have been killed in the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria and the toll is expected to soar, with some 264,000 apartments in Turkey destroyed and many still missing as rescuers continue to listen for signs of life under the rubble.

Many families have lost their homes, possessions and loved ones and the funds we raise through the Moonacres Fundraiser will be directed towards basic necessities like food, shelter and medical aid to those who have been impacted by this disaster. 

The team at Moonacres, head chef Stephen Santucci, our cooks and staff have all come together to organise this fundraiser hosted by our friends and Moonacres cooks, Ish Kaba and Tolga Das, whose friends and family have been affected by the earthquake.

On Saturday March 18 a three-course dinner will be held at Moonacres Kitchen for 50 with all funds going directly to the Charity - Humanity for All.

All drinks for the evening have been donated by Mount Ashby, meat donated by Maugers and Robertson Butcher, eggs by Jamberoo Mountain Farm, cheese by Pecora Dairy, flour by Wholegrain Milling food donated by Two Providors and fruit and veg by Moonacres Farm

Auction items include an original work by Ben Quilty, a cooking class by chef Ish Kaba at Moonacres School, artist Kate Vella is donating a framed painting, a family photo package by Sarah Norton Creative, Ozzie from Fikri Films is donating a business promotion package and Josh's Cafe in Berrima is kindly donating a dinner voucher.

Bookings are essential. 

Auction will be live on the night with details of the Ben Quilty artwork to be advised.
