Sophie lives on a farm out of Orange NSW with her family. After studying journalism at university, she found herself working in food magazines throughout her twenties, writing articles about farmers and farming, and the joy of cooking seasonally and locally.

She has built up a community of 44k on Instagram and also writes a weekly newsletter Local is Lovely, is the co-host of a podcast, is the author of four (almost five) cookbooks and is a big believer in the business-growing power of showing up for your people with consistency and valuable content. Her Instagram page @myopenkitchen is a great educational space.

Sophie Hansen has been teaching small business owners how to use Instagram with confidence and consistency for seven years now and doing so herself for over 12 years.

Instagram is a powerful way to build communities around what we do, but with its ever evolving and constant updates, new features and shift to video means we need to evolve with it. This workshop will cover reels, engagement, and how to show up in a way that you enjoy and that moves the needle for your marketing goals.

Getting your Instagram house in order (i.e., auditing your home feed/profile bio/link and pic) so you're always making the best first impression with your soon-to-be new Instagram friends. Clarifying what your goal here is. It's so important to be clear on why you are on IG and what the time you spend there needs to convert to. It could be finding inspiration, building your business, growing brand awareness. Let's nut it out together !

Content planning 101. An achievable way to stay consistent with how you post. Engagement/Analytics and growth. The technical stuff (practical help with Reels, editing videos and photos, the latest updates and more!).

Throughout the day you'll enjoy brewed coffee & Pachamama tea, along with treats made from our kitchen.  After the class we'll share some bubbles and a Moonacres grazing platter at the schools shared table.

The workshop is from 1.30 - 4.30pm and don't forget your notebook and a pen.

Sophie and the team at Moonacres look forward to seeing you soon.
