Coiled Basketry with Plant Fibres - Saturday 10 April

Spend the morning with Brooke, for an introduction to the art of basketry coiling. Brooke will introduce you to different soft plant materials, including commonly found local plants, weeds and vegetables from Moonacres Farm. Brooke will demonstrate how to harvest, prepare, store and use them for the purpose of making fibres for basketry.
All tools and materials for this class will be supplied and included in the ticket price.

- how to harvest, prepare and store plant fibres for basketry
- how to turn these fibres into string
- basketry coiling techniques and artistry
This class runs from 9.30am to 1pm.

For this class, participants will work individually on their basketry and be safely distanced. These arrangements are to ensure that we follow COVID19 guidelines, and provide a safe and enjoyable class. We also encourage group bookings of up to 15 for a fun gathering for family and friends.
