Saturday 29 November

There’s something utterly comforting about the way Sivine and Karima invite you into their kitchen—like being welcomed home. Their class isn’t just a cooking session—it’s a living, breathing love letter to Lebanese heritage and slow, soul-fed connection.

And since its now Summer and grape vine leaves are everywhere, the menu will include:

Wara Enab bi Zeit - vegetarian stuffed vine leaves filled with fresh herbs, tomatoes, pomegranate molasses spices and rice.

Tabbouch Dip and Zaatar crackers - Mums signature eggplant dip - fried eggplants, garlic, yogurt and mint

Deluxe Fattoush - summer herbs, tomato, cucumber, capsicum, radish and pomegranate, sumac and garlic dressing

Lamb Mansaf - Slow cooked lamb shoulder on a bed of jewelled rice topped with toasted nuts and currants

Sivine and Karima have grown that warm, maternal energy into a wonderful, shared experience.

Their Sunday Kitchen is built on storytelling as much as technique—each recipe holds its own memory, and every meal is seasoned with the kind of generosity that only a mother-daughter duo can serve. Whether it’s tabouli, kibbeh nayyeh, or samke harra, they bring both heart and heritage to the table.

What we adore (and what Moonacres will want to highlight) is how these sessions unfold. You start by cooking simple starters together, the kind that feels like breakfast in a warm kitchen at home. Then, as you move into creating a full spread, you’re not just following instructions—you’re sharing in laughter, stories, and hands-on joy. And when the feast is finally laid out, it’s not a class; it’s a family lunch with new friends.

Since launching in 2019, Sivine and Karima’s gatherings have continually sold out—and for good reason. Their cooking school isn’t just about food; it’s a cultural embrace, preserving traditions one heartfelt recipe at a time. Their new cookbook Sofra even brings those stories and aromas into your home bookshelf.

We’re delighted to share that Sivine and Karima’s beautiful book Sofra will be available for purchase at the school.

Sofra is a collection of family memories, food traditions, and the everyday rituals that bring people together. Each page is steeped in love and heritage, with recipes that carry the heart of Lebanese home cooking.

We look forward to seeing you at the school at 10am.
