Get weaving with Brooke Munro this winter making baskets using a Random Weave technique. Great for collecting and foraging!

As a special School Holidays class you can bring a son/daughter/grandchild for the ticket price of $80. (Children must be accompanied by an adult - this will ensure they get the most benefit from the class.)

Random weave basketry is the art of using differing fibres and found objects and weaving them with a structural technique to create an organic form. Brooke will demonstrate varied techniques and will provide hands-on teaching with differing fibres and shapes. Each participant will create a form made from locally sourced plant materials, including willow.

All materials and tools for this class will be supplied and included in the ticket price.

During the class you will enjoy:

Delicious Moonacres morning tea with bottomless Tea and Coffee and/or glass of bubbles (for adults), and hot chocolate for the kids. 

In this class you will learn:

  • how to weave with willow and other fibres
  • to weave using Random weave technique
  • a range of tips from Brooke to develop your knowledge of techniques and the use of plant fibres

The class runs for 3 hours from 10am to 1.00pm
