We are so excited to offer you our Pizza e Birra series - an evening gathering to cook around the fire, learn some skills, enjoy the simplicity of artisan pizza and sample local hand-crafted beer.

Mariano Moreschi, Chef at Moonacres Kitchen, brings his Argentinian background and passion to all of his food. Previously at Vini in Surry Hills, Mariano loves to cook with fire, connecting to the traditions of Argentinian Barbeque. Mariano is also an expert on outdoor pizza ovens and artisan charcoal barbeques, fire pits and spits. He has perfected a pizza dough for the new range of mobile pizza ovens on the market, and is keen to share his skills with you. We will also fire up our Esse range cookers to show you how good pizza can be at home. 

For this event we are excited to partner with a local, artisan business, the Highlander Beer and Brewing Company, established in 2015 in Robertson. Crafting small batch, hand-crafted beer for Southern Highlands locals Marcelo is passionate about his delicious product. Marcelo will present two beers for tasting, and talk about the brewing process and flavour profiles, and how they marry with food. 

Once the learning is done we will feast on Pizza e Birra! 

In the class you will:

  • learn the secrets of perfect pizza dough 
  • learn how to use a range of toppings for maximum flavour, using produce from our Farm and other local producers
  • enjoy two different brews from Highlander Beer and Brewing
You will also take home recipes and tips from Mariano 


The event runs from 6pm to 8.30pm.
